May the season ahead be kinder to us all. 🌱💐🦋💗🐣 #Spring
How are YOUR cats doing? I’ve got one who officially growls at the mailman (She’s waiting for her stimulus check. 😉 and I am under strict cat surveillance 24/7 in case I do something more interesting than the neighbors. I suspect they use Tumblr to gossip about me. 😉
“Spring is the time of plans and projects.” ―Leo Tolstoy
In light of the past few weeks, this is absolutely true on my part. I’m extremely excited about it all! 🙂
Blessed Full Moon! Happy Spring & Happy Purim!
An intense heat wave caused a lot of things to bloom quickly. Pretty soon, I’ll have garden photos, but for now, some observations.
The past does not equal the future. There is unlimited potential in the human spirit. Keep your mind open. Open your heart and let the light in. A new day is dawning for you.
The Gemini New Moon is about communication and using your intellect. Be smarter and wiser. Look at your life in a new way, think on things, make plans for the future, use the Gemini influence to help you reach a higher understanding, and propel you in a direction you want to go in. When you come across multiple choices or two choices and are at a crossroads; rather than becoming scattered like leaves blowing in the wind, quiet yourself and be still. Connect with your Spirit and the Divine and ask for the answer.
The Gemini New Moon is all about connections and expressions with others, and ourselves. We may hear from people we haven’t heard from for a while. There will be reunions with friends and family. We sometimes need to have deep, personal conversations with other people and ourselves to figure out where we are and where we are going. Our emotions will feel raw at this time. Don’t hold back your thoughts and feelings on this New Moon; let them out and tell people how you really feel. This is a dreamy New Moon filled with potential and promises. The past few months have been challenging for most of us; many of us had a rude awakening in one form or another and life may have seemed rather hard of late, but with this New Moon things will start to look up now. Enjoy the new energy as the Moon starts it’s waxing phase after tonight and will bring us into a new place of positive and good energy. Expect answers to any unsolved questions coming on the Full Moon in two weeks.
This is a good time to go deep within yourself and see things as they really are. Listen to your intuition. Your instincts will never fail you. The logical mind can be deceived, the eyes and ears can be fooled. They see what they want to see, they hear what they want to hear. However, your inner being cannot be fooled. Live your life from your authentic self, from the inside out. Only you know what you really need and what needs to be done. The power is in your hands.
The New Moon in Gemini is a time for calm and peace. The Cosmos is in perfect harmony at this time. This is a brilliant time to make dreams and wishes come true or just spoil yourself with luxury and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Meditate on any questions you may have and the answers will come to you. Let the winds of change from this air sign blow over you and take you on a journey of discovery. This is the perfect time to start any new projects or learning something new.
Have a blessed New Moon, and may the Goddess watch over you.
Tonight is the Full Pink Moon. The Moon won’t actually be the color pink, the name comes from the herb, moss pink, or wild ground phlox which are bright pink in color, it is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring. Other names for this month’s Moon are Seed, Wind, Sprouting Grass, Egg, and Fish Moon.
This Full Moon is in the sign of Libra. You can’t hide anything from a Libra, they are natural detectives. This is the time when everything will be brought to light; secrets and lies will be found out. We will see things as they really are.
Libra is an air element, which is all about the intellect and our mind. We will feel sharper and our minds will clear allowing us to see what we could not see before.
In April the thunderstorms of March are beginning to subside, and the wind picks up. Seeds are being blown about on the breezes, spreading life all around from one place to the next. This is a brilliant time to start any new projects or ideas we may have, as our minds will be filled with creativity and the spreading of thoughts and ideas. This is also the perfect time to conceive, as fertility is abundant at this time.
The pull of the past can be strong on this Full Moon. People we haven’t seen for a while may contact us, we may find ourselves thinking of our past and people from long ago. We may find our best intentions going up in smoke as we embrace old habits and fall back into old destructive patterns. Try and be strong and not take the easy option; instead take the road which will give you the best results. Stay away from bad habits or patterns that keep leading you down a certain path of unhappiness. Break the cycle.
Emotions are running high on this Libra Pink Moon. Our smallest emotions can be magnified and intensified making us feel a little overwhelmed at times. This is the time to put your gratitude forth for all the many blessings in your life and to clearly speak aloud your desires. Let what you want be heard by the universe as we step across this edge to the other side, where miracles and magic can happen, dreams can come true. Allow yourself to ask for more.
We are in a powerful time where we are asked to look at what is no longer working in our lives. Where is the old skin stuck and inhibiting our further growth? Where are we surrounded by things, people, situations, attitudes that are actually toxic and need to be burned in the fire, so we can rebirth ourselves like the phoenix does?
Use the light of this Full Moon to cast away negativity and the negative aspects of our lives and let positive and good pour in. Open yourself up and allow your vessel to be filled with the blessings that the universe is sending out right now. Let the winds of Libra blow over your spirit to cleanse and heal you.
Have a blessed Full Moon, and may the Goddess watch over you.

Ostara Blessings to all. Today is the Spring Equinox, when night and day are both at equal length. If you go out late in the afternoon you might just catch the rising Moon in the sky at exactly the same time the Sun is about to set. Early in the next morning you can also see the Moon in daylight, just as the Sun is rising. In between these two events is a period of complete balance between day and night, Sun and Moon, male and female, light and dark, God and Goddess.
This is a special point of balance. On this day, light and dark are equal, but the light is now surpassing the dark as days will grow longer and nights shorter, warmth is taking over cold, life is taking over death. Today we truly say goodbye to winter.
This is a time of major transformation for the earth. The great wheel has turned as we pass into a new season. We will notice new buds forming on branches, the birds will start returning, and animals will come out of hibernation. Flowers will start to shoot up and fields and grass will become lush and green.
The young horned God is growing stronger and the Goddess is in her maiden form. The young Sun God takes notice of the Maiden Goddess and the stirrings within them seem to be felt in all living creatures. All the world seems renewed, refreshed, and bursting with possibilities.
Ostara is an Anglo-Saxon and Celtic fertility festival worshiping the Goddess Ostara or Eostre, as she is also known. Eggs and rabbits are her fertility symbols. The egg resembles new life and birth, the rabbit signifies fertility.
The Horned Sun God, also known as The Oak King or the Lord of Light; the Gods Pan, Cernunnos, and Sun Gods such as Sol, Apollo, Attis, Ra, and Horus are also worshiped on this day.
Eostre’s feast day is traditionally held on the first Full Moon following the Spring equinox, the identical time as the Christian Easter when Jesus was said to be resurrected from death. The Sun God, Attis, who was born via a virgin birth, is resurrected each year during the Spring Equinox. The Goddesses Ishtar and Persephone were also resurrected from death on Ostara.
Ostara is a time of newness and rebirth. It is a time to clean up and clear out all our old junk, this is where we get the term “spring cleaning” from. But it isn’t just clearing out our homes, it is also clearing out the junk and negative energy that we carry around with us. Let the new energies of the Sun and the Spring rejuvenate us. Welcome in the new. Breathe new life in and look to the future with hope and optimism.
On your alter, add anything to represent and honor the season such as budding flowers like crocuses, daffodils, lilies, daisies, acorns, and seeds. Ostara is a time of balance between light and dark, so symbols of this polarity can also be used. Use a God and Goddess statue, a white candle and a black one, a sun and moon, etc. This is the time of year when animals are bringing forth new life too so put a basket of eggs on your altar, as it is customary and fun to paint them bright colors before adding them. Add figures or pictures of new lambs, chicks, rabbits, calves etc. Add a chalice of milk or honey; milk represents the lactating animals who have just given birth and honey is long known as a symbol of abundance and as bees will start to come out now, offer these as a libation to the God and Goddess.
The Spring Equinox is a time of balance of both light and dark, it is a time to look within ourselves and balance our thoughts and emotions and find balance in our lives. To embrace our dark and our light equally as one cannot exist without the other. This is a time to stop, relax, and enjoy our personal achievements, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What we put into life we will get out, what we plant now can grow into something amazing.
May your Ostara be memorable and your hearts and spirits be filled to overflowing.
