Lost Opportunities, Lost Possibilities
“Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That’s part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads – at least that’s where I imagine it – there’s a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you’ll live forever in your own private library.” ―Haruki Murakami
The Most Dangerous People In The World
“The most dangerous people in the world are not the tiny minority instigating evil acts, but those who do the acts for them. For example, when the British invaded India, many Indians accepted to work for the British to kill off Indians who resisted their occupation. So in other words, many Indians were hired to kill other Indians on behalf of the enemy for a paycheck. Today, we have mercenaries in Africa, corporate armies from the western world, and unemployed men throughout the Middle East killing their own people – and people of other nations – for a paycheck. To act without a conscience, but for a paycheck, makes anyone a dangerous animal. The devil would be powerless if he couldn’t entice people to do his work. So as long as money continues to seduce the hungry, the hopeless, the broken, the greedy, and the needy, there will always be war between brothers.” ―Suzy Kassem
Wordless

Another murdered Jew. Another elder killed. Hate is a global issue, a global disease, and it has affected two of my communities this week. I’m angry. Prayers aren’t enough. Talking about it through regular media outlets is NOT enough. Words have power, but only when strong voices use them properly. Only when organized outrage makes it clear that we will NOT tolerate this. We must band together. Where’s Your Outrage 😡😥
