Make sure no one close to you is enjoying the fact that you’re hurting. If you stumble upon this, kick them to the curb and free yourself of their negativity.

Very good advice indeed. I had to do that no less than 5 times in 2014, with people I had previously trusted too.
It really stings initially, but after a little time passes, you realize what a healthy thing you did for yourself. I worry about people who delight in the pain of others. It’s so sick and twisted. No one’s pain makes me feel better about myself. If anything, I understand.
Same here. Yeah, and now I know what they did and were really like, there is no going back, no matter how much history we had.
It has been liberating, but sad too. Hardest is when its family.
Once a person betrays you to that extent, there is definitely no going back. I can forgive certain things, but other things I can’t allow or let go of. Family, for me, is a very loose word. I have friends that are closer to me than most of the people I am blood related to, and I’m okay with that.
