I think this is a helpful article for anyone who struggles with any form of anxiety. I’ve noticed that the strongest people are the ones who are taking medication for it and/or trying to cope in the best way possible. I’m not ashamed to talk about it myself.

Many people prefer to avoid medication, and medication in and of itself is rarely the answer. But often medication can be an integral part of learning to manage anxiety and can be beneficial for reducing the anxiety symptoms enough to start addressing the underlying cognitive distortions that are commonly the source of the anxiety.
Talking about it is the only way to reduce the stigma, so thanks for doing your part.

I’m well aware that many people prefer to avoid medication, but I also see how well it helps some people. We are all different and what works for one person may not work for someone else, chemistry wise, that is bound to happen. As long as a person is actively helping themselves, there is no harm in the route they choose to take.
Not all anxiety is based in logic nor is it simple, there are a plethora of factors most people don’t consider. Ultimately, being able to discuss it openly and honestly, without fear of judgment, is crucial. The same can be said for all things related to mental health, though I find the term derogatory most of the time.
