International Holocaust Remembrance Day

If you need words today, please visit my Instagram page (click on the word) for a roundup of the day. It is my professional page as a writer. As I honor all of the lives lost, I am choosing to do so without being politically correct or sitting in silence. I was given a voice for a reason, and I am NOT going o shrink myself to make other people feel comfortable.

Thank you to all of the new subscribers. I see you and appreciate you.

Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021

I noticed how few people posted about this today. While you’re preaching about whose lives matter the most (I’ve seen full arguments about this all over the Internet.), maybe you should think about history and get behind issues you wouldn’t like to see repeated. I may not be perfect, but at least I stand for things that matter. At least I practice what I preach. And anyone who saw my Instagram stories today knows I did not just represent Jews when posting about this. I posted about all of those whose lives were lost.

Why do you think people detest white supremacists? Think about the Nazi regime. That’s why.

Never Again

International Holocaust Remembrance Day
January 27th, 2016

Just like you, they had siblings, parents, children. They were infants, adolescents, elderly. They laughed, struggled, and loved. Each and every one of them was different. 11 million people were murdered by the Nazis in the Holocaust. Jews, Roma, Slavs, LGBTQ, Political Opponents, Disabled. All because they were DIFFERENT

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we encourage you to be proud of who you are, in their memory.

neverforget

Never Again; A Poem of the Holocaust

Never again we swore that day,

In that country so far away.

Never again would the ground be dyed red

With the blood of those so recently dead.

Never again would fires light the night sky

As days, weeks, months, flew unheeded by.

Never again would a people cry out

So abused and so hated, their own worth they did doubt.

Never again will people die

While others watching stand idly by.

Never again when something can be done

Will evil be allowed to let its course run.

Never again will we hope and we pray,

While just trying to survive until the next day.

Never again will families cry, And wonder why,

Why not give up and die?

Never again will the odds against overwhelm

Causing people to journey to the eternal realm.

Never again will people just disappear

Thousands upon thousands, and more every year.

Never again we said, never again.

Never again: When is that?

When?
